The Brief

1st Stop was building its SaaS platform through a third party supplier and knew it would need to take ownership of the platform. With this in mind its aim was to recruit a team of software engineers to continue development of the platform.

Hiring the right people was critical. 1st Stop needed a team that could support the organization's maturating without stifling its lifeblood. This was a privately owned business that desired to be more organized and corporate.

With some requirements to be on-site, prospective employees would need to come to the HQ in Blackpool as well as hold the relevant experience and qualifications.


The Solution

Working initially with the CEO in placing an industry expert CTO, we were then tasked to build the team. We provided market mapping and salary benchmarking, considering competitors in the field and designing a package that would be enticing and market-leading.

We hired across the following areas for the business:

  • Product Managers & Product Owners
  • DevOps
  • Business Analysis

The Outcome

We placed 10 people into the North West Technology division, doubling its strength. The platform was successfully built and deployed. This formed an important part of the valuation of the business. 1st Stop subsequently sold to Tandem and the IT team were TUPEd over in the exit and sale to Tandem. All to plan!
