About the Role
As Head of IT, you will serve as the strategic and operational leader for all technology initiatives across the business.
You will be responsible for driving digital transformation, leading enterprise systems modernisation, and building a
data-driven cultures that enhances operational efficiency, customer experience, and commercial performance.
This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial, hands-on IT leader who thrives in a fast-moving multi-site environments and
has a track record of successfully leading ERP transformations and establishing robust business intelligence
capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technology Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company’s long-term business goals.
• Lead the transformation of the technology landscape, including ERP modernisation, workflow automation, and cloud adoption.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team on technology trends and innovation opportunities.

2. ERP Transformation Leadership

• Lead the full adoption of the newly launched ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics), from vendor handover and implementation to integration into the business and future development road maps, data migration, and user adoption.
• Ensure the system supports operational excellence across workshops, supply chain, finance, and customer operations.
• Establish governance, change management, and continuous improvement frameworks to maximize ROI.

3. Business Intelligence & Data Management

• Build a modern data and analytics capability that enables insight-driven decision-making across the organisation.
• Implement data governance standards, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and compliance.
• Develop dashboards, reporting solutions, and performance metrics for key operational and financial areas.

4. Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

• Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, service management, and support functions across all locations.
• Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable systems that support daily workshop operations.
• Drive continuous improvement of IT processes, service levels, and user experience.

5. Digital Innovation & Change Management

• Act as a catalyst for innovation, identifying and deploying technologies that enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and elevate customer experience.
• Promote a digital-first culture and champion change across all levels of the business.
• Lead cross-functional projects that modernize operations and support business growth.

6. Vendor & Budget Management

• Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiating contracts and service agreements.
• Develop and control IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery of technology services.
• Oversee incident response, vulnerability management, and data protection processes to ensure a robust security posture.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential

• Proven experience as Head of IT, IT Director, or senior IT leader in a multi-site operational environment (automotive, manufacturing, logistics, or retail preferred)
• Demonstrated success in leading a complex ERP transformation end-to-end.
• Strong background in business intelligence, data architecture, and reporting platforms.
• Track record of driving digital transformation and leading organizational change.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and service delivery.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

• Experience in automotive service, repair, maintenance, or similar operational industries.
• Knowledge of IoT, connected workshop technologies, or telematics.
• Project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
